At Superfocus, we are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Information We Collect

When you register or use Superfocus, we collect:

  • User ID, Name, Profile Image, Date Joined (for user profile creation)
  • Device Token (to enable push notifications)
  • Other analytics data (via Segment) to personalize your experience

All personal data is encrypted during transmission and stored securely.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to:

  • Deliver and improve our services
  • Send push notifications (e.g., reminders, promotions)
  • Provide personalized experiences

You may opt out of promotional messages at any time.

3. Sharing of Data

We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties, except:

  • When required by law
  • With service providers (e.g., cloud storage, analytics tools), who are bound by strict confidentiality

4. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access or edit your data
  • Delete your account (and associated data) from within the app
  • Export and transfer your data — request a portable copy of the personal data you have provided to us in a structured, machine-readable format

Once deleted, data is permanently removed from our systems.

You do not need to log in to the app to exercise these rights. To request access to, an export of, or deletion of your data, email us at help@superfocus.me. We will respond to your request within 30 days.

4a. Slack Integration Data

If you connect Slack, Superfocus accesses your Slack workspace using a user token (no bot is added to your workspace) and only with the scopes you authorize. With your permission, we access and store:

  • Your Slack profile information (such as your display name and current status), so we can set and later restore your status during focus sessions
  • Your Do Not Disturb (DND) state, so we can enable DND during a focus session and restore your previous setting afterward
  • Message history from the specific channels you choose to share, which is used as context for planning

We only read the channels you explicitly select, and you can disconnect Slack or revoke access at any time from your Slack settings or from within Superfocus.

AI processing of Slack content. Message content imported from the channels you select is sent to our large language model provider, Anthropic (Claude), to generate planning context and suggestions inside Superfocus. This content is processed only to provide the feature and is not used to train the provider's models.

We retain imported Slack message content only as long as needed to provide planning features. It is deleted when you disconnect the Slack workspace, and removed when you delete your Superfocus account.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data only as long as needed to provide our services or meet legal obligations. Once no longer needed, your data is securely deleted.

6. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption and secure cloud storage.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. We'll notify you via the app or email when significant changes are made.
